Details:
Functional characteristics:
● Tungsten disulfide(WS2) as a solid lubricant has outstanding characteristics in terms of physical properties.
● In recent years, the demand for new solid lubrication has increased with the increase in machine output, rotation speed, sliding speed, load, and use in harsh environments such as high temperature and vacuum. Environmental factors are also relevant here.
● Its oxidation temperature is about 100°C higher than that of molybdenum disulfide(MoS2).
● It has excellent heat resistance and extreme pressure performance, and has a lower coefficient of friction.
● It has a lower friction coefficient, which has a tendency to decrease as the load increases.
● It is also lubricating at a high temperature of 450°C, which helps prevent sintering or seizing.
● It is wear-resistant.
● In the air, it acts as a lubricant in the temperature range of -273°C to 450°C.
● It is inert, inorganic, non-toxic and non-corrosive, compatible with most oils and greases.
● Compared with graphite, MoS2 and Teflon, surface deposits are reduced by half.
